California Highway Patrol has closed Interstate 80 off to westbound traffic in Truckee after snowy conditions caused multiple collisions and spinouts over Donner Summit on Saturday, the agency announced.

Closures are impacting westbound traffic in Truckee and at the Nevada state line, CHP Truckee announced on social media.

“Weather conditions are deteriorating over Donner Summit and if you are not prepared for winter driving conditions, then we suggest you turn around and wait until the storm dissipates,” the agency wrote.
