Met Gala 2024: Kim Kardashian shows off her TINY waist in silver corset gown |

Reality star Kim Kardashian once again stole the spotlight with her Met Gala look.
This year she arrived at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City donning a sheer Margiela by John Galliano corset gown with a lace train featuring leaves and floral accents.
Though her icy bleach-blonde hair perfectly accented the silver in her dress, she played down the rest of the look by wearing natural waves and subtle makeup, including a shimmery silver eyeshadow. She also bundled up with a simple grey cardigan. The highlight of her outfit was her silver corset, giving her a drastically tiny waist.

A press release from Margiela, as published by Cosmopolitan stated, “For her appearance, John Galliano created an haute couture look for Kim Kardashian composed of a pale grey thistle-washed boiled cashmere cardigan, a couture corset rewoven from antique silver brocade and a skirt in tooled silver metal evoking lace, flowers, leaves and sprigs interlinked with silver chain and floral motifs cut from mirror fragments, as well as crystal pendants, pearls and set like a piece from high-jewelery.”

Kim has been one of the favourites at the Met Gala. Last year, she wore a string pearl dress by Schiaparelli for the “Karl Lagerfeld: A Line Of Beauty” theme.
In 2022 , she wore a gown originally that belonged to Marilyn Monroe. The iconic movie star famously wore the glittering ivory dress when she sang “Happy Birthday” to President John F. Kennedy in 1962. Kim later sparked controversy after the gown appeared visibly ripped in places, prompting backlash from the fashion community. Kim borrowed the gown from Ripley’s Believe It or Not!, which purchased the dress from Julien’s Auction in November 2016 for a whopping $4.81 million.
Prior to that, she made it to the internet’s wall of memes clad in a striking black Balenciaga haute couture gown, complete with a matching train and mask.
