Here’s how to make Mary’s Berry’s delicious apple crumble with walnuts, which serves six people.
Method
To make this delicious recipe, start by preheating the oven to 180C/160C Fan/Gas 4.
Peel and core the apples before cutting them into thin slices. In an oven-proof dish, place the apple slices with juice, sugar and six tablespoonfuls of water.
Bring this to the boil before putting in the oven to cook for 20 minutes until the apple is tender – but not mushy.
Put the flour, sugar, oats, walnuts and seeds in a mixing bowl and rub in the butter until it starts to form small clumps, and it’s all mixed together.
Spread this mixture onto a baking tray and bake for 20 minutes, or until golden brown. After it’s done, break it up with a wooden spoon.
Finish by sprinkling it over the apple – and enjoy your delicious dessert!
