Marvin Harrison Jr. surprisingly skips NFL Combine interview

Marvin Harrison’s tape will have to do the talking for him.

And thankfully for Harrison, that tape is quite good.

The star Ohio State receiver surprisingly did not arrive for his scheduled NFL Combine interviews on Thursday, according to multiple reports.

NFL Hall of Fame receiver Cris Carter claimed Harrison was attending to medical duties, but there has been no follow-up about Harrison’s availability.

“Marvin Harrison Jr. is currently with the medical people getting a body scan. Relax,” Carter tweeted.

It’s unusual for prospect to skip their media sessions, with fellow top prospect such as Drake Maye meeting with reporters, but it’s not going to hurt Harrison’s draft stock.

Harrison is viewed as the best non-quarterback in the draft and it can be argued he is the overall best player in the draft.

Most mock drafts have Arizona selecting Harrison with the fourth pick, including Steve Serby’s lastest mock for The Post.

There have been rumors that the Patriots could consider Harrison with the third pick and instead go with a veteran quarterback, although they are favored to draft LSU quarterback Jayden Daniels.

Oddsmakers project the Bears will select Caleb Williams with the first pick, while Maye will go second to the Commanders.

Harrison, the son of NFL Hall of Famer Marvin Harrison, would make plenty of sense for a Cardinals team lacking playmakers and would upgrade the Giants’ roster if he fell to No. 6.

There are some reports that state Harrison immediately would be one of the top receivers in the league in his first year following his standout career with the Buckeyes.

Harrison tallied 67 catches for 1,2111 yards and 14 touchdowns this past season and totaled 155 catches for 2,613 yards and 31 touchdowns spanning his three seasons in Columbus.

He averaged 72 catches for 1,237 yards and 14 scores over his last two seasons.
