Maharashtra deputy CM Ajit Pawar skips sharing stage with uncle | India News

Maharashtra deputy CM Ajit Pawar skipped the inauguration of a drama event that uncle and NCP founder Sharad Pawar attended with chief minister Eknath Shinde in Pune on Saturday. This prompted speculation that Ajit missed the 100th Natya Sammelan to avoid sharing the stage with Pawar. On Saturday, Ajit stayed away despite being present in Pimpri Chinchwad, where the Sammelan was held.”I had some activities lined up in the morning. I had to skip them because of personal issues,” Ajit said.
Asked why he stayed away from Sammelan despite being Pune’s guardian minister, Ajit pointed out that “CM Shinde was present” and that he had cleared funds for the event earlier. “I have met my responsibility.”
