Madgaon Express box office collection: Kunal Kemmu’s film shows more than 100 percent jump on Saturday | Hindi Movie News

Kunal Kemmu, renowned for his roles in “Kalyug,” “Go Goa Gone,” “Lootcase,” the “Golmaal” series, and “99,” stepped into the director’s chair with “Madgaon Express“. He likened it to a ‘Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara’ for the common man and presented the idea to producers Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar. Though starting modestly, the film has grossed Rs 13.5 crore in its debut week and Rs 5.75 crore in the second week.
The film entered its third week on a good note where it collected Rs 60 lakhs which was a good 20 percent jump from Thursday’s collection.And on Saturday, the film showed a remarkable jump of nearly 106 percent and collected Rs 1.24 crore, as per early estimates by Sacnilk. The overall collection of “Madgaon Express” now stands at Rs 21.14 crore. Saturday was an important day for the film as it finally breached the Rs 20 crore mark. With the release of “Bade Miyan Chote Miyan” and “Maidaan” on the occasion of Eid, the journey of this Express is going to be curtailed from April 10th onwards.
Kunal marked his debut as a director with “Madgaon Express”, which starred Divyenndu, Pratik Gandhi, Avinash Tiwary, Nora Fatehi, Upendra Limaye and Chhaya Kadam.
