Lok Sabha Polls 2024: Lok Sabha Elections 2024: PM Modi slams RJD and Congress over EVM doubts, criticises Trinamool Congress on job scams

Prime Minister Narendra Modi attacked RJD on the issue of VVPATs and EVMs, saying those who used to indulge in booth capturing during the days of the ballot paper are questioning the authenticity of the new polling process.
Addressing a rally in Araria, Bihar, Modi said, “RJD and Congress have no concern for either the Constitution or democracy. These are the people who for decades snatched away the rights of the voters through the ballot paper. Polling booths and ballot papers were looted in those days.”

“They (RJD) used to play games of looting and capturing votes on polling day. They could not tolerate the EVMs. Every leader of the INDI Alliance has worked towards creating doubts about EVMs in the minds of the people…,” Modi said.

He maintained that now when the poor and the honest voters of the country have been empowered with EVMs, those who used to loot and capture votes are worried. “There effort day and night is to ensure the EVMs are somehow removed,” Modi said.

“The Supreme Court has clearly said that the era of ballot papers will not return,” Modi said.He alleged that while the world praises the use of technology and EVMs in the India electioneering process, the INDI Alliance spreads rumours about them.”The Opposition wanted to remove the use of EVMs and have always betrayed democracy in India. Today the Supreme Court has given such a tight slap to them that they cannot face them. They should apologise to the nation,” Modi said.Modi maintained that there are two streams in the country today. One, that wants to empower the weak and the two, which had deprived the poor of even basic foodgrains and taken away their land in lieu of government jobs, a reference to the land-for-jobs scam.

Meanwhile, Modi has slammed Trinamool Congress over ‘multiple scams’, ‘bribe culture’ and the recent SSC job cancellation and its impact on youth. Addressing a rally in Maldaha, he alleged Trinamool played with future of 26,000 youth who lost their jobs and their family’s “rozi roti”. Modi also attacked Congress over its manifesto and claimed the party will “give away your wealth to its votebank”.
