Congress leader Jairam Ramesh uploaded a video on X where a miscreant was threatening voters.
He stated “Democracy is under threat. This video is from TODAY in Ukhrul District, Outer Manipur. Voters are being forced to vote only for the NPF, the BJP’s alliance partner, rather than the Congress. The security forces are standing there mutely as our democracy is hijacked. These are the most important elections of our lifetime”.

The outer Manipur parliamentary seat went to polls on Friday and over 70.66% votes were polled. Thirteen Assembly Segments of Outer Manipur (ST) Parliamentary Constituency spread across 8 districts went to the polls. Naga People’s Front (NPF) candidate K Timothy Zimik s contesting against Congress’s Alfred Kanngam S. Arthur. BJP has extended support to the NPF candidate.
