Kylie Cantrall‘s Red and Malia Baker‘s Chloe are teaming up to take a trip back in time and save the day in the first trailer for Descendants: The Rise of Red.
In the movie, they play the daughters of Rita Ora‘s Queen of Hearts and Brandy‘s Cinderella, a role that she previously played in 1997′s Rodgers & Hammerstein’s Cinderella.
On Thursday (May 23), the first trailer offered a hint at what fans should expect when the movie premieres this summer.

In the trailer, the Queen executes a coup against Auradon, forcing Red to join forces with Chloe to go back in time to save the Queen from her descent into villainy.
The movie also stars China Anne McClain, Jeremy Swift, Dara Reneé, Ruby Rose Turner, Morgan Dudley, Melanie Paxson, Leonardo Nam, Joshua Colley and Peder Lindell.
Descendants: The Rise of Red premieres on Disney+ on July 12 and on Disney Channel on August 9 at 9pm ET. Press play on the trailer below.
