In a rare moment, this episode of Koffee With Karan 8 was definitely a walk down memory lane as host Karan Johar took his audiences back to the 70s when actresses like Neetu Kapoor and Zeenat Aman ruled the industry. From discussing yesteryear rivalry to their journey towards stardom, the episode served as a treat to fans who continue to cherish old school Bollywood. While discussing about the camaraderie with co-stars, especially female co-stars and camaraderie, Karan Johar asked Zeenat Aman about her bond with Rekha, during which the latter revealed that it is Neetu Kapoor who shared a great friendship with the actress.

When Karan Johar asked Zeenat Aman about her camaraderie with Rekha when she worked with her as a co-star, the yesteryear diva maintained, “I worked in some films with Rekha. I think Neetu at that time was much closer to Rekha.” Continuing further, Neetu Kapoor revealed that they started an unexpected friendship because they were not only friendly but also because the warm nature of the Umrao Jaan actress. “I’ve never done any work with Rekha. I really don’t know how it started. She was just a very friendly person. She is a very sweet and warm person. She would just drop by without informing me. So, she was just like one of those girls and I was also very friendly. I liked that. She was very funny, she used to imitate, she used to do a lot of mimicry,” Kapoor revealed.
Apart from Rekha, Zeenat Aman and Neetu Kapoor also discussed their bond with other contemporaries like Hema Malini and Jaya Bachchan. Meanwhile, in the episode, Karan also addressed about the much talked about rivalry between Zeenat Aman and Parveen Babi but the former maintained that they shared a cordial relationship of mutual respect and understanding.
