Talking about the same, Karan Johar asked, “Do you feel objectified for your sexy persona, you’re called a thirst trap? Everytime people talk about you there is a glaze like a certain kind of sexiness that is talked about and then you do a show which is hugely successful called The Night Manager where you are also unabashedly, unapologetically sexy walking strutting around you in cleverly constructed shorts, obviously, there is an image you are also playing to, do you sometimes feel like, ‘I am more than my looks’”
Aditya Roy Kapur replied, “I don’t feel like I fuel that fire that much. I mean it’s not like I am sitting around posting these thirst traps, I am more often posting pictures of sunsets and weird songs. I look at it as a positive, it’s a good thing at least people are not saying ‘what an ugly guy’. People are saying something positive.”
Aditya Roy Kapur added, “As far as the recognition for the work is concerned, I have done enough work over the years, I don’t feel like that hinders the perception of the work that I do, it only adds to it.”
