In December 2023, Frost & Sullivan acknowledged the Sonet for its outstanding maintenance costs in the Compact SUV segment.

In a recent study by Frost & Sullivan, India’s premier Growth Advisory Company, Kia has emerged as a frontrunner in providing the most budget-friendly maintenance for its popular models – Seltos and Carens.

The analysis highlights that these vehicles offer the lowest upkeep costs in both diesel and petrol variants within their respective segments.

The study highlights Kia Carens as the top contender in the family car category, boasting the most affordable maintenance costs for both petrol and diesel versions by a significant margin of 21 percent and 26 percent, respectively.

Notably, its diesel models stand out with the lowest acquisition cost, making them an attractive option for today’s discerning customers. Moreover, Carens Diesel excels in minimizing fuel expenses, solidifying its status as a premium family car with exceptional value.

According to Press Release, Kia’s bestselling innovation, the Seltos, stands out with the lowest maintenance costs for its petrol variants, providing a significant 17 percent savings compared to the industry average. The diesel variants of Seltos also share the spotlight for the lowest maintenance costs with another segment leader. In terms of overall total cost of ownership (TCO), the Seltos secures the second-best TCO for its diesel variant and the third-best for its petrol variant, cementing its place among the top performers in its segment.

Kia Sonet

This isn’t the first time Kia has been lauded for its cost-effective maintenance. In December 2023, Frost & Sullivan acknowledged the Sonet for having the best maintenance costs in the Compact SUV segment. The report further revealed that Sonet’s Petrol and Diesel variants’ Maintenance Costs are 16 percent and 14 percent lower than the segment average, respectively.
