Hands up if you’re a fan of KFC? Yes, us too! Whether you’re more of a popcorn chicken kind of person or prefer more of a spicy wing.
You can’t help but keep coming back for more of the Colonel’s 11 herbs and spices. And to this day we’re still wondering what the 11 could be.
Fans will be pleased with the fast food chain as they have announced a brand new item to its menu.
Later this month, fans can expect to enjoy the Chizza (pronounced: ‘cheet-za’) but what exactly is it?
For those who haven’t seen it online, a Chizza is two extra crispy fried chicken fillets topped with a zesty marinara sauce, melted mozzarella cheese and crispy pepperoni.

Essentially it is KFC’s spin on a classic pizza – but sadly it will be only be available in the US.
The food item was first made known in the Philippines in 2015 and has been featured in other places around the world including Korea, Thailand, Germany, Spain, Mexico, Taiwan, and India.
It is set to land in the US on February 26 but for a limited time only so you’ll have to be quick.
For those whose mouths are already watering at the thought, you can enjoy the Chizza as an item on its own or as part of a combo meal. Decisions, decisions, eh?
Speaking about the US launch, Nick Chavez, Chief Marketing Officer of KFC U.S. said: “Fried chicken and pizza collaborated to create something even better—the Chizza.”
“The fan-favourite mashup is finally available in the U.S. after making its way around the world—try it while you can!”
One person on TikTok under the username of @snackolator has even posted about the announcement and said he was “excited” to try it.
This led to others commenting on the video with one person saying: “i honestly cant believe that Chizza is real. And im all for it.”
A second commented: “that chizza actually looks and sounds good!”
Another added: “Chizza sound like the most American thing ever take my money.”
However, not everyone was happy aout the announcement. One person said: “I just want KFC to bring popcorn chicken back.”
A second added: “I wouldn’t eat KFC if they paid me.”
While another commented: “KFC needs to bring back the Nashville hot strips.”
