Like the rest of your foods, such as hearty bread, or delicious fruit, eggs need to be stored properly to stay fresh as well.
To keep your eggs fresh, take them home immediately and store them in the refrigerator as soon as you can, with the fridge set at about 30 degrees Fahrenheit (4 degrees Celsius).
Leave the eggs in the carton you purchased them in and set them in the chilliest part of the refrigerator. Do not place them near the door.
If you hard cook your eggs, they can easily be kept in the refrigerator for a week, according to the USDA.

“Also, I bet you didn’t know this, [but] if you leave your eggs in the fridge, they’ll probably last a lot longer than if you leave them out.”
Yet, Dr Bolueso also clarified that supermarkets do not chill their eggs because they would shrink due to the change in temperature.
He said: “There’d be some condensation on there, [and] that would increase the risk of you getting salmonella poisoning later on when you eat the egg.”
