Actress Kangana Ranaut Adorns Chamba Attire, Explores Bharmour Temple An d Contemplates Life After Death Ahead of Lok Sabha Elections 2024.
Actress Kangana Ranaut, who is a BJP candidate for the Mandi Lok Sabha seat, recently visited the picturesque town of Chamba in Himachal Pradesh, seeking blessings at the revered Laxmi Narayan temple, also known as Lachhmi Nath ka Dera. This temple complex, consisting of 84 temples, holds historical and religious significance.
During her visit, Kangana also sought blessings at the Dharamraj temple of Bharmour, a place believed to be where souls are interrogated after death, according to local beliefs. Kangana’s post read, “Aaj Mandi constituency mein Bharmour ( Chamba) ka daura hua, wahan logon se mile aur apna parichay karaya. Bharmour ke suprasiddh Chaurasi mandir (Total 84 temples premise ) mein jaane ka avasar mila, itihaaskaron ka manana hai ki yeh mandir 7th century se purane hai, lekin logon ka kehna hai ki yeh aadi kaal se yehi upasthit hai. Yahan ek puranic Shiv ling ke darshan hue, aisa laga jaise swayam Shambho mere sakshat ho, pehli bar Vishnu avtar Narsimha ka mandir dekha, aur panditon ne mujhe bataya ki poore Vishwa mein Dharmraaj ji ka mandir sirf yaheein hai, DharmRaj ji ke mandir mein bhi darshan kiye.”
Sharing her experience on social media, Kangana expressed awe at witnessing the ancient Puranic Shivling and the temple dedicated to the Vishnu incarnation Narsimha. She also mentioned the mysteries elaborated upon in the temple regarding life after death and the court of Dharamraj. “Yahan mrityu ke baad ke kuch rahasyon ka bhi vistar hai, mrityu ke baad kaise manushya Dharamraj ke darbar mein upasthit hote hain woh kya chitra hota hai, kaise kacheheri lagti hai, aisi bahut saare rahasyon ka varnan hai”, the post further read.
Donning the traditional attire of Chamba, known as LUANCHARI, Kangana embraced the local culture and received compliments from the community. The LUANCHARI consists of a blouse and a long skirt, adorned with silver ornaments, reflecting the vibrant colours of the region. In her post, Kangana expressed her admiration for the beauty, culture, and people of Chamba, hoping to maintain a strong connection with the town in the future. She concluded, “Maine Chamba gaddi ( Shepherd community) dress pehni aur sabne mujhe bahut compliments diye. Chamba, yahan ki beauty, yahan ka culture, yahan ke log, pehnava, food, music mujhe bahut pasand hai bhagwan kare main vijayi rahoon aur Chamba se mera ek ghanisht rishta bane.”
Kangana Ranaut toured the interior areas of Bharmour and said, “It’s just been a month since I entered politics, and I am getting love and blessing from people. I am trying to tour every part of the Mandi parliamentary segment.” In a speech during her tour, Kangana likened herself to a “dakia (postman)” highlighting her dedication to act as a channel between the public and the government, ensuring that the concerns of her constituents are heard and addressed.
