Mumbai: Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut has been making it to the headlines since the diva announced her new chapter in politics. Recently Kanaga’s comparison with Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan has once again landed in controversy. The Tejas actress also called herself and SRK as ‘last generation of stars’. Kangana’s Streak of Flop Films Doesn’t Bother Her
Kangana Ranaut from time to time delivered flop films that didn’t even make an impact in her box office collection. Interestingly, Kanagana’s Tanu Weds Manu released in 2015 was her last film that gained massive success in the film industry. Since then the diva featured in films like, I Love NY, Katti Batti, Rangoon, Simran, Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi, Judgementall Hai Kiya, Panga, Thalaivii, Dhaakad and Chandramukhi 2 and continuing her list Kangana’s last film aerial action Tejas continues her series of flop film.
According to Kangana, she compared herself to Shah Rukh’s Pathaan, as for Ranaut, it didn’t matter that her films couldn’t grab the attention of the viewers as SRK faced a similar scenario before Pathaan. At the Times Now Summit 2024, Kangana said, “OTT doesn’t make stars. We are known faces. By the grace of God, we are very much in demand (sic).”
Reacting to the failure of films continued her comparison with the Dunki actor. However, she emphasised SRK’s drastic bloom in 2023 where he was seen in Pathaan, Jawan, and Dunki. Kangana Ranaut expressed, “No actor in the world only has hits to their credit. Shah Rukh Khan’s films didn’t work for ten years and then Pathaan became a hit. My films didn’t work for seven to eight years, but then ‘Queen’ worked. Then, some more hits came, then after 3–4 years, Manikarnika worked. Now, ‘Emergency’ is coming. Maybe it will become a hit (sic).”
Kangana Ranaut To Contest Election From Mandi, HP
Kangana Ranaut took it to X/ Twitter to announce the new chapter in her career. The diva had received the ticket to contest in the 2024 Lok Sabha General Elections from her birthplace, Mandi, Himachal Pradesh. Kangana revealed, ““My beloved Bharat and Bhartiya Janta’s own party, Bharatiya Janta party ( BJP) has always had my unconditional support, today the national leadership of BJP has announced me as their Loksabha candidate from my birth place Himachal Pradesh, Mandi (constituency) I abide by the high command’s decision on contesting Loksabha polls. I feel honoured and elated to officially join the party. I look forward to be a worthy karyakarta and a reliable public servant. Thanks (sic).”
