Only requiring five ingredients, and two optional pieces, making Jamie Oliver’s bbq chicken is a straightforward meal to make.
Best served alongside corn on the cob, as recommended in the recipe, additional options could include curly sweet potato fries, chips or spicy rice.
Taking only 10 minutes to prepare and around 30 minutes to cook in the air-fryer, the bbq chicken can be ready in 40 minutes or less.
This is the best easy and tasty midweek meal, and this will surely become an all-time favourite for many people who have an air-fryer.
Here’s how to make Jamie Oliver’s bbq chicken thighs with corn on the cob in the energy-efficient air-fryer.
Recipe
Serves: two people
Ingredients
- Four medium chicken thighs, bone in, skin removed
- Two teaspoons of BBQ seasoning
- One handful of fine breadcrumbs
- Olive oil
- Four small corn on the cob
Opțional ingredients
- A few sprigs of coriander
- One lime
Method
Arrange the chicken thighs on a board in a single layer. Dust all over with the BBQ seasoning and sprinkle over the breadcrumbs, pushing the crumbs onto the chicken thighs so they stick.
Arrange the chicken in a single layer in the air-fryer and drizzle with a little oil. Cook at 180C for 20 minutes, turning over halfway.
Once 20 minutes have passed, place the corn on top and cook at 180C for 10 minutes, or until beautifully golden and cooked through, bringing the chicken to the top halfway through.
Serve with picked coriander leaves and lime wedges, for squeezing over (if using).
Jamie Oliver said the bbq chicken thighs are also “delicious with a crunchy slaw on the side”.
Do note that all air-fryers are different, so cooking times may slightly differ depending on the model you have.
