Rahul Gandhi’s Portfolio: His top holding is smallcap Suprajit Engineering followed by ITC and ICICI Bank.

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has stock market investments worth Rs 4.3 crore and mutual funds deposits worth Rs 3.81 crore, as per an affidavit that he submitted to the Election Commission of India (ECI) as he seeks re-election from Wayanad seat in Kerala. His assets include Rs 9.24 crore movable and Rs 11.5 crore immovable assets.

Gandhi filed his nomination from Wayanad in Kerala on April 3. He had won the seat in the 2019 Lok Sabha polls with a margin of over four lakh votes. Single phase polling in the state to elect MPs from its 20 Lok Sabha seats will be held on April 26.

Affidavits filed along with the nomination papers contain personal details about wealth, property and pending cases against the candidate.

Stock Holdings

His top holding is smallcap Suprajit Engineering followed by ITC and ICICI Bank.

In Suprajit he held 4,068 shares which are worth over Rs 16.65 lakh. The stock has delivered returns of nearly 20% over the last 12 months and today it was trading at Rs 419.80 on the NSE, down by Rs 3.15 or 0.74%.

In ITC and ICICI Bank, he held 3,039 shares and 2,299 shares, respectively at a market value of Rs 12.96 lakh and Rs 24.83 lakh.

The other stocks in his portfolio include Alkyl Amines, Asian Paints, Bajaj Finance, Deepak Nitrite, Divi’s Laboratories, Infosys, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), Britannia Industries and Titan Company.

In market value terms, Pidilite Industries topped the table followed by Bajaj Finance and Asian Paints. The market value of his 1,474 shares in Pidilite stood at Rs 43.27 lakh as of March 15. As for Bajaj Finance and Asian Paints, the value of 551 shares and 1,231 shares stood at Rs 35.89 lakh and Rs 35.29 lakh, respectively as of this date.

Rahul Gandhi’s Mutual Fund Investments

Mutual funds brought by Gandhi include HDFC small cap Reg-G, ICICI Prudential Reg Savings-G, PPFAS FCF D Growth, and HDFC MCOP DP GR. He also owns sovereign gold bonds with a market value of Rs 15.21 lakh as of March 15, 2024.

His assets include land in Delhi’s Mehrauli that he owns with sister and Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra. Gandhi also owns office space in Gurugram which is currently valued at over Rs 9 crore. While the agricultural land has been mentioned as inherited property, the office space is not.

Rahul Gandhi’s Sovereign Gold Bonds

Rahul Gandhi owns sovereign gold bonds with a market value of ₹15.21 lakh as on March 15, 2024.

Gandhi also declared in the affidavit the police cases he faces. These include a case under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act (POCSO) for allegedly disclosing the identity of family members of a rape victim in a social media post. The other cases include those filed on complaints of defamation by BJP leaders. He has also mentioned the criminal conspiracy case linked to Associated Journals Limited.

In the upcoming Lok Sabha polls, Gandhi is up against CPI leader Annie Raja and Kerala BJP chief K Surendran.
