The leather-clad world of indie brand Baia is welcoming new fabrics and easy-to-approach pieces in a capsule collection dubbed “Summer Lover.”
Founded in 2021 by Italian stylist Camilla Rizzolo — which piled up years of experience collaborating with Vogue Japan, among others — the brand is rooted in key fashion archetypes intended to build a concise yet long-lasting wardrobe.
Launched with designs like oversize blazer jackets and ample cargo pants crafted in supple leather, which were seen on the likes of Gigi Hadid, Normani and Jeremy Pope, Baia is offering a fresher take on the items via cotton, silk and viscose fabrics, as well as seaside-inspired motifs like shell-shaped ceramic buttons and delicate prints.
Highlights of the line include a lighter, butter-hued take on the signature Vivi blazer jacket, which stands out for the extra proportion of its shoulder and the narrow design at the waist secured by two buttons on the back; the Windy billowing dress with side slits; the Lily shorts cut in an ample silhouette for extra comfort, and unfussy tank tops and overshirts embellished with subtle jewelry-like details.
The more beachwear-leaning offering includes essential bikinis in Lycra with adjustable straps and featuring the brand’s logo in italics; a sarong splashed with a shell print and accessories such as an oversize straw bag with leather detailing.
Rizzolo’s goal was to expand designs and introduce options at lower price points in a bid to attract a wider audience to the emerging brand. Priced between 52 euros for T-shirts and 239 euros for the Vivi blazer, the Summer Lover collection is exclusively available at Baia’s online store.
