Great strides have been made with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) grant, which is transacted entirely online. However, most other grants require you to visit a SASSA office nearest, even when applying. Old-age pensioners, those with a disability and looking after a child find it difficult. Note that they transact business between 08h00 to 17h00, Monday to Friday. And all are closed on weekends unless otherwise stipulated.
