Q. What are iQOO’s plans for the budget segment (sub-Rs 12k)?

At iQOO, we firmly believe that innovation should not be confined to any specific price segment. The diverse consumer base in India demands innovation, and we are dedicated to making it accessible to all, ensuring our products cater to varied needs and preferences across all segments. By harnessing consumer insights and feedback, we’ve crafted products that address real user challenges. For instance, recognising the inconvenience of bulky smartphones due to large batteries, we’ve ingeniously integrated a massive 6,000mAh battery into a sleek 7.99mm device, offering extended battery life without compromising on design (referring to the iQOO Z9x). Furthermore, our 44W flash charging capability ensures swift recharges, minimising downtime for users.

Performance is paramount for us across all segments. To combat lagging issues, the iQOO Z9x features a Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 with a 4nm processor, delivering an exceptional blend of performance, features, and affordability. Additionally, acknowledging the significance of durability, we’ve included an IP64 rating to safeguard the device against dust and water, enhancing its reliability, and we are the first brand to do so in this segment.

Beyond the iQOO Z9x, we are continuously exploring opportunities to broaden our product range and meet the evolving needs of budget-conscious consumers. At iQOO, we believe that innovation is for everyone, our objective is to democratise access to premium smartphone experiences, ensuring that everyone can benefit from iQOO’s innovative technology, irrespective of their budget. Our recently launched iQOO Z9 garnered tremendous consumer acclaim, emerging as the bestselling device in its segment on Amazon within its first day of launch.

Q. Recently, there has been some speculation around iQOO launching a gaming tablet in India. Can you share something with us at this time?

iQOO is always exploring new avenues to enhance the gaming experience for our users. While we can’t comment on specific product launches at this time, we’re constantly evaluating market trends and consumer demands to bring innovative and exciting products to the Indian market. Rest assured; any new developments will be announced at the appropriate time.

Q. As a follow-up to the above, what are iQOO’s plans for categories beyond smartphones? (tablets, accessories, audio, wearables, etc.)


At iQOO, we are constantly exploring opportunities to expand our product portfolio and cater to the evolving needs of consumers. While smartphones remain our primary focus, we have launched multiple IoT devices, such as the 50W Wireless Charger with air-cooling technology on an international level and the iQOO Wireless Sport earphones. We are open to exploring newer categories if they align with our brand ethos and consumer expectations. Needless to say, we remain committed to offering innovative, high-quality products across diverse tech sectors to elevate the consumer experience.

Q. How is iQOO planning to leverage gaming to promote its offerings in India?

Recognising the immense popularity of gaming in India, we understand the importance of catering to the needs of gaming enthusiasts. Performance has been a defining factor for our products since inception. It’s this exceptional performance that has endeared our devices to the gaming community.

We are actively collaborating with renowned gaming influencers and content creators to showcase the gaming prowess of our smartphones.
