Fans who were missing Bollywood’s original Disney prince Imran Khan can now celebrate. It seems he has confirmed his comeback project, and is in fact shooting for the same. As per a report in an entertainment site, Imran Khan will be back as Happy Patel. The movie, a comedy about a quirky enjoyable character is being filmed in Goa. Vir Das, who was his co-star in Delhi Belly is directing the film. Aamir Khan Productions is backing the film, and the superstar might make a cameo in it. Happy Patel shoot starts in Goa

As per Peeping Moon, Imran Khan has started the shoot in Goa. The female lead is not finalised as yet. Mona Singh who did a fab job in Laal Singh Chaddha is also playing an important role in the movie. This will be the first movie to be directed by Vir Das. Happy Patel is going to be his comeback after his spy thriller series got shelved. He was planning to make a comeback with Abbas Tyrewala’s web series. They are long-time friends. Imran Khan was supposed to be a spy in the Disney+Hotstar espionage thriller dealing with South Asian counter-intelligence. However, the project did not take off. Imran Khan said that he is happy as it got shelved as he wanted to play more joyful characters. He said he does not seem himself as an alpha masculine character. Fans adore his earlier rom-coms which were breezy and a fun watch. Happy Patel is in the same genre. On the personal front, he has moved in with his girlfriend Lekha Washington in one of Karan Johar’s apartments.

Aamir Khan’s banner has four films lined up

Aamir Khan Productions hit the bullseye with Laapataa Ladies. It is getting immense love on Netflix too. They have four more films lined up including Lahore 1947 starring Sunny Deol and Preity Zinta. Aamir Khan is also gearing up to launch son Junaid Khan with Sai Pallavi in One Day remake.
