She shared her secret tip on how to book flights without hurting your wallet.

As holidays are here, it is easy to splurge hundreds on travel, but one simple trick could save you money.

According to the stewardess, customers who are searching for deals online should use the “private” browsing mode.

She said: “Often, travel sites and airlines will record your browsing history by installing cookies on your browser.

“These companies know how often you visit their site and will typically raise the price because of your frequent visits.”

With the private browsing on, the websites can’t track or trace your activity.

“During Christmas, airlines often experience a surge in passengers, leading to increased demand for flights .

“So additionally, being patient and understanding can go a long way during busy holiday flights,” she added.

Esther, from Rotterdam, has also shared some other useful travel tips for the festive period.

She said: “During the Christmas period, I suggest packing all essentials into a carry on.

“You will be in and out of the airport rush much faster.

“To avoid holiday crowds, get in early, get what you need, and go to your gate.”

She also recommends scanning your passport and emailing a copy to yourself in case anything happens to it.

“Having proof of who you are is vital when travelling international flights.

“This is especially true if you are a victim of burglary or loss,” she explained.
