Narzo 70

The Realme Narzo 70 and Narzo 60 have a nearly identical rear panel design. We see a large circular camera module but with a slightly different camera sensor placement. While the Narzo 60 offers a vegan leather back panel, the Narzo 70 has a polycarbonate material. In this aspect, the Narzo 60 scores brownie points. We get 2,000 nits peak brightness on the Narzo 70 5G compared to 1000 nits on the predecessor. The improved brightness will help with better outdoor visibility even under direct sunlight. Additionally, the new Narzo phone offers 3095 levels of brightness adjustments. The screen on the Narzo 70 is TUV Rheinland for low blue light emission but the Narzo 60 offers a curved AMOLED panel and Corning Gorilla Glass 5.

Realme Narzo 70 vs Realme Narzo 60: battery, software

The Realme Nazro 70 runs on Android 14 OS, while the Narzo 60 runs on a dated Android 13 out of the box. They both have Realme UI custom skin over Android and this offers various customisation options. The brand is offering 2 major OS updates to the Narzo 70 5G, which might be the case with the Narzo 60 as well. This means, the Narzo 70 will get Android 15 and 16 updates, while Narzo 60 will only get up to Android 15.

The Realme Narzo 70 and Narzo 60 pack the same 5,000mAh battery but the former has a faster 45W fast charging compared to 33W on the latter. Our Realme Narzo 60 review notes the bundled charger takes close to 2.5 hours from 0-100 percent, which is quite long, while the Narzo 70’s 45W charger is claimed to take just 61 minutes to reach 100 percent.

Verdict

Realme Narzo 70 5G is a worthy upgrade over the Narzo 60. We get faster charging support at 45W, the latest Android 14 OS out of the box, and a larger 6.67-inch screen compared to 6.43 on the Nazo 60. Most importantly, the Dimensity 7050 is quite powerful compared to the Dimensity 6020. While the cameras on the Narzo 70 need testing, the 50MP should be better than last year’s 64MP sensor.
