Holi 2024: Special Team to Be Deployed to Control Traffic Rules, Delhi Police Issues Advisory

As India is all set to celebrate the festive of colors ‘Holi’ on March 25, 2024, special arrangements have been made to maintain traffic rules by Delhi Police.

It has been reported that a special team will be deployed on some of the busiest intersections in the city, and will keep a close check on incidents like over-speeding, drinking and driving, rash driving, triple riding on two-wheelers, driving without a seat belt, red light jumping and riding without a helmet, road rage among others.

Traffic Rule Violation Penalty

As per the details shared by TOI, the traffic police said that the violation of any traffic rules will attract the suspension of the driving license for a minimum of three months, heavy fines, or both. Apart from this, the vehicles also will be seized, or challans will be imposed against the registered owners if their vehicles are found driven by any underage driver.

Reports also suggested that strict against will be taken against offenders who are caught driving without licenses and performing stunts on the road.

To make everything clear, and let people understand every rules for the special day, an advisory also has been shared on X, urging people to celebrate the festival with joy with a proper implementation of traffic rules. Police have also requested the citizens to play Holi at home, and not to disturb the public places.
