High-end apparel company Arc’teryx moving to Rockefeller Center

Arc’teryx, the Canada-based maker of high-end outdoor apparel and equipment with five Manhattan stores, is braving the biggest retail stage of all — Rockefeller Center.

The company signed a lease for 12,689 square feet at Tishman Speyer’s 600 Fifth Ave. between East 48th and 49th Streets.

The two-story location will replace Aritzia, which the Commercial Observer reported will move to an even larger space at 608 Fifth at the block’s northern end — the former home of TopShop.

Arc’teryx’s arrival is the latest illustration of Midtown Fifth Avenue’s ongoing boom, where stores are filling formerly vacant locations and some fashion retailers are buying their own buildings.

It wasn’t known when Aritzia and Arc’teryx will move.

An Arc’teryx rep said, “We are excited to continue serving our community in New York City” with the new addition.
