Police in Mothutlong are searching for a missing two-year-old baby girl, Agang Setuke, who allegedly went missing at about 7:30 at Thetele Section, Mothutlong, on Thursday.
THE MOTHER LEFT TWO-YEAR-OLD AGANG ALONE AT HOME
According to police spokesperson Lieutenant Colonel Amanda Funani, the toddler’s mother left her alone at their residence and took her older daughter to school.
“The mother returned home and found a blanket and food she had prepared for Agang outside the house. She apparently thought that the toddler had gone to visit her sister, who was not far from them.”
Funani said.
The mother then continued with her daily duties.
SHE THOUGHT THE TODDLER HAD GONE TO VISIT HER SISTER
“After school, the mother instructed her older daughter to check on Agang at her sister’s house, but she was informed that the child was not there.”
Funani said the mother searched for the toddler with no success.
THE MOTHER CONTINUED WITH HER DAILY DUTIES
“She then went to open a missing person inquiry at Mothutlong Police Station.”
Funani stated that they conducted a search around Thetele Section and Mothutlung, but it did not yield positive results
Agang was last seen wearing a black tracksuit pant, pink long sleeve t-shirt, and white jersey, with no shoes. She has a dark complexion.
