But Fieri said he won’t automatically bequeath his wealth to his two sons, Hunter and Ryder, or his nephew Jules, who has lived with the TV personality and chef since his mother died in 2011.

“I told them the same thing my dad told me, ‘… When I die you can expect that I’m going to die broke and you’re going to be paying for the funeral,’” he said. “I told my boys, ‘None of this, that I’ve been building, are you going to get unless you come and take it from me.’”

He went on to explain that his sons and his nephew were expected to stay in school, graduate from college and even complete a secondary degree. Jules is studying law at Loyola Marymount, while Hunter, Fieri’s oldest, is reportedly in business school at the University of Miami. Ryder is a senior in high school.

Fieri then went on to quote the great Shaquille O’Neal.

“Shaq said about his kids one time, ‘If you want any of this cheese, you’ve got to give me two degrees,’” Fieri said with a smile. “Well, my two degrees means, you know, postgraduate. So they are on their way.”
