Gurucharan Singh, the actor who portrayed Sodhi in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, went missing a week ago. A CCTV footage saw him crossing the road in Palam on April 22nd. According to the most recent information, two days after going missing, he may have taken out Rs 7000 from an ATM close to Palam, Delhi. Samay Shah who played Gurcharan Singh’s on-screen son in the show, recounted his final chat with the missing TMKOC actor. Shah said in an interview with Indian Express that he had a phone conversation with Gurucharan four or five months ago. Samay further revealed that ‘he is not that kind of a person’ in response to rumours that Gurucharan suffers from depression.
Samay Shah’s Last Call With Gurucharan Singh
Samay said, “I spoke with him 4 to 5 months back over the phone. The conversation went on for an hour or more and he kept motivating me, we spoke about running with dreams. I was missing him a lot, especially as we were not working together anymore and we were reminiscing.” He claimed that during a lengthy discussion that took place a few months ago, Gurucharan inspired him. The star was reportedly working on his Punjabi movie.
Samay Shah revealed that the actor Dilip Joshi’s son’s reception was the last time they had seen each other.
Samay Shah Addresses Gurucharan Singh’s Depression Reports
Addressing the depression reports, Samay said, “I still cannot believe that people are saying he was depressed. He is not that kind of a person, but then you cannot predict how human consciousness works sometimes. Whenever we spoke, he was very kind and sweet, he was keeping alright, and he would continuously check on me. I don’t think he was in depression. However, we never had the kind of conversations he would have with his parents or friends. I was like a son to him.”
Samay Shah also discussed Gurucharan’s career goals, stating that he has a full schedule of events scheduled for both his personal and professional life. “Whenever we spoke, I would keep asking him about what was going on in his life. He was working on a Punjabi film, but I don’t have a clear picture because he is someone who likes to give surprises. I was both excited and curious to know what he is up to. I am not sure, but the movie was called GCS. I think he was also working on an app. I think he will be back very soon, ” he continued. Gurucharan Singh, who rose to fame with his comedic roles in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, bid adieu to the popular sitcom years ago.
