Along with a photo of the film’s poster, the filmmaker shared her emotional reaction, disclosing that she was moved to tears after viewing the Vikrant Massey-starrer.Monga extended her heartfelt congratulations to the entire film team and sent her best wishes to the real-life counterparts, Manoj and Shraddha.

She wrote, ‘Sitting at the Lucknow airport Starbucks and CRYING my eyes out watching #12thFail What an incredible film! I swear if I had seen this 15 – 20 years ago, the main IAS / IPS bannti! Congratulations to VVC Sir & the entire team & salute to the real & reel Manoj & Shraddha.’
Monga also mentioned that she missed the film in theatres but was able to capture its magic on the streaming platform.
