Gordon Ramsay’s cookies and hot chocolate can be made in 10 minutes

If you are looking for a simple yet satisfying way to treat yourself, then there is nothing better than homemade cookies and a hot beverage to warm you up on a cold winter evening.

Cookies made from scratch can now be made in only 10 minutes as Britain’s cooking legend Gordon Ramsay has shared his easy recipe to make this tasty baked good from home in his cookbook Ramsay in 10.

Not only can this easy cookie recipe be adapted to your tastes, but Gordon has also shared how to make his tastiest hot chocolate recipe as well, which pairs wonderfully with the cookies.

Gordon wrote: “Satisfy your cravings for freshly baked biscuits in just 10 minutes! These are flavoured with cinnamon, but you could use ground ginger, vanilla or even a pinch of chilli.

“You don’t have to make the hot chocolate, but I wouldn’t want you twiddling your thumbs while the cookies are in the oven. The olive oil, milk chocolate, and Horlicks make the drink wonderfully rich, but a cup of tea would be very nice too.”

Instructions

For the cookies:

Preheat the oven to 180C/160C Fan/Gas Mark 4.

Grease your large baking tray with a little butter.

Place the butter, sugar, and cinnamon in a mixing bowl and cream together using a wooden spoon.

Once fully mixed, add in the flour and keep stirring until all ingredients are fully incorporated.

With clean hands, divide the cookies into 12 equal, roll them into balls, and place them on the prepared baking tray.

Use a fork to flatten each cookie ball, and then bake in the oven for several minutes until the cookies are golden brown.

For the malted hot chocolate:

While the cookies are baking, make the hot chocolate. Pour milk into a small saucepan and add the olive oil. Cook on a medium heat until the milk mixture is warm.

Add the milk chocolate and Horlicks powder to the milk mixture and stir until the chocolate has fully melted.

Use a whisk and stir the mixture fully until it blends for two minutes.

Pour the hot chocolate mixture into mugs, and top with aerosol cream if you wish.

Your indulgent cookies and hot chocolate are now ready to serve.
