Google Pixel 8a marketing materials leaked

  • A bunch of marketing materials for the Google Pixel 8a have been leaked by Evan Blass. These images reveal the Pixel 8a’s design, colour options, AI features and other details.
  • The Pixel 8a can be seen in four colour options: Obsidian, Porcelain, Bay, and Mint.
  • The smartphone will get seven years of Android and security updates, the same as the Pixel 8 series.
  • Google is also loading the phone with several AI features including Magic Eraser, Audio Magic Eraser, Best Take, Circle to Search, Live Translate, and more.
  • More details revealed about the Pixel 8a include an IP67 rating for dust and water resistance, and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. It’s also said to last for over 24 hours along with support for wireless charging.

Another image shared by Blass shows the Pixel 8a cases and a new colour option to the lineup. It’s a bright orange colour for the Pixel 8a suggesting there will be a fifth colour option.

The latest leaks don’t necessarily reveal anything new about the Pixel 8a except for the new colour. In terms of specs, it could be powered by the Google Tensor G3 chipset, the same one that’s available in the flagship Pixel 8 series. The handset is also tipped to house a 64MP primary camera with OIS, a 13MP ultra-wide camera and a 13MP front camera.

The Pixel 8a’s alleged pricing was also leaked recently with the phone tipped to cost $499 (approx. Rs 41,600 approx) for the base model with 128GB storage. The new Pixel is also said to come in a 256GB variant that will cost $559 (Rs 46,600 approx). In India, the Pixel 8a is said to cost around Rs 1,000-2,000 more so it might be priced around Rs 43,999 here.
