Golden Globe-winning actor spotted at LA In-N-Out with his statue

After winning a Golden Globe award for best actor in “The Holdovers,” Paul Giamatti was spotted dining at a Los Angeles In-N-Out.

Giamatti was photographed dining at the In-N-Out location at 922 Gayley Ave., in Westwood, according to @ElSergioMunoz, who shared a photo of the celebrity on X on Monday morning. In it, Giamatti is seen seated at a table with a couple of trays of burgers and fries. His shiny new Golden Globe award, which weighs about 8 pounds and is almost 13 inches in height, was perched on the table.

Within a few hours of sharing the image, the post garnered more than 30,000 likes and comments from fans lauding Giamatti’s down-to-earth personality. “That is the most Paul Giamatti thing he could have done,” @MoreTacos3 wrote.

Giamatti, who plays a disgruntled professor at a prep school in the film “The Holdovers,” dedicated his award to educators, including a long line of educators within his own family.

“It’s a movie about a teacher,” Giamatti said. “I play a teacher in it. My whole family, they’re teachers, all of them, going back generations. Teachers are good people. You’ve got to respect them. They do a good thing. It’s a tough job, so this is for teachers as well.”

Entertainment Tonight caught up with Giamatti after the win to get details on his after-party plans for the evening. Little did they know that his plans would include a double-double. SFGATE reached out to In-N-Out but the chain declined to comment.
