Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar, which is considered to be one of the most ambitious projects of filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali, is nearing its premiere on Netflix as the release is just around the corner. Ahead of the same, the filmmaker decided to host a grand screening for industry insiders which was attended not only by the cast and the rest of the team but also by the likes of Salman Khan to Genelia Deshmukh. One of the first persons to share their review regarding the series was this actress, who attended the screening with her husband and actor-producer-filmmaker Riteish Deshmukh.

Genelia Deshmukh, who too has returned to the world of acting, couldn’t stop raving about the web-series after she decided to catch a couple of episodes at the premiere. Sharing her review about Heeramandi on her Instagram story and adding a photo of her heartily smiling as she poses with the man of the evening, Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Genelia wrote, “Just saw 2 episodes of Heeramandi and it has me craving for more. What a world, what a journey you take us through to Sanjay Sir. Mesmerised as always. Loved, loved, loved the entire cast and what a super effort by the crew too. Netflix, this is truly special.”
Apart from her many celebrities like Salman Khan, Alia Bhatt, also were a part of the glitzy evening along with the cast.
Speaking of Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar, the web-series is set against the backdrop of pre-Independence era, the show traces the journey of courtesans, who were once as powerful as the queens herself. Starring Manisha Koirala, Sonakshi Sinha, Aditi Rao Hydari, Richa Chadha, Sanjeeda Sheikh, and Sharmin Segal in the lead, the show will also feature Fardeen Khan, Shekhar Suman, Adhyayan Suman, Taha Shah Badussha, among others in key roles. The eight-episodic series will premiere on Netflix on May 1.
