Four men arrested after fight involving weapons along Prinsep Street

SINGAPORE: Four men in their twenties were arrested in the early hours of Thursday (Apr 25) after a fight involving weapons along Prinsep Street.

Police were alerted to the incident at 12.40am and upon arriving at the scene, officers spotted two injured men.

Preliminary investigations revealed that the two men, aged 23 and 24, were purportedly attacked by another group of men after a dispute, said the Singapore Police Force (SPF) in a news release on Friday.

One of the assailants had allegedly attacked the victims with a karambit knife.

Those involved were arrested on the same day after being identified by officers through ground enquiries and images from police cameras.

Both victims were conscious when taken to hospital.

Three of the men, aged between 21 and 23, will be charged in court on Saturday with voluntarily causing hurt by dangerous weapons.

If convicted, they face imprisonment of up to seven years, or with a fine, or with caning, or with any combination of such punishments.

Investigations against the remaining 23-year-old are ongoing.
