MERSING: A team of firemen helped free a five-year-old girl whose leg was caught in a chair at a government clinic here.
The incident, which took place at the Jemaluang health clinic, was reported at 10.48am on Wednesday (Jan 31), said Mersing Fire and Rescue Department operations commander Mohamed Zainuddin Ahmad.
“The girl was with her pregnant mother who had an appointment at the clinic.
“We used hydraulic equipment to free her left leg from the chairs at the clinic’s waiting area,” he said in a statement on Wednesday (Jan 31).
He added that the team of 11 firemen left the scene at 11.17am after ensuring that the girl was safe.
