The actor-director recently engaged in a chat with Zoya Akhtar, Reema Kagti, Arjun Varain Singh and Ritesh Sidhwani for Indian Express. They were discussing that some of their films have a very strong connection with fans, be it Don, Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara or Dil Chahta Hai, to which Zoya said that the positive comments she usually gets are for the female characters they’ve created or the way they portray men. She also added that no matter what they post on social media there will be one person who will ask for an update on ZNMD 2.
Reema Kagti also added that even if she would upload a photo of a dog, there’ll be people asking about ZNMD 2. The funniest response came from Farhan Akhtar, recalling an incident when he had uploaded a post offering condolences to a family member and someone commented ‘ woh sab chodiye, Don ke baare mein baataiye ( Keep all that aside, tell us what is the update on Don)’. The filmmaker stated that this was the moment after which he stopped reading the comments section on his posts.
