Kangana Ranaut starrer action drama Tejas released in theatres last year. The movie, which is directed by Sarvesh Mewara and produced under the banner of RSVP, is all set have its OTT debut on ZEE5 from tomorrow January 5 onwards.

In an exclusive statement given to Bollywood Hungama, Kangana answered whether she would like to change one thing in the movie. She said, “Well, in hindsight, I don’t believe one can view a comprehensive project or product in isolation. It is what it is, and, you know, it’s great in its entirety. As artists, we can only put our art out there, and it’s for people to see, to desire, or to decide whether they resonate with it. So, it’s wonderful, and I’m confident that it will perform exceptionally well on OTT platforms.”
Tejas sees Kangana play an Indian Air-Force officer Tejas Gill and the film revolves around the issue of terrorism. The actress is all praise for her director for the handling of the film. “My director, Sarvesh, is such a good captain of the team or the ship, whatever you may call it. He had everything prepared and did intense research because we were making the first fighter pilot film, especially focusing on air combat. The way he figured everything out is commendable. There were these small models of the aircraft hanging in the air. It wasn’t easy to depict the air combat dogfights. Even in VFX, of course, we weren’t doing it for real, but even for visual effects, it took a lot in terms of understanding the mechanics, soundtrack, and, of course, the technicalities.”
Touching upon the other challenges faced by the team, the actress added, “We had a real Air Force pilot guiding us, Mr. Gokhale, but even then, it required a lot of precision and understanding. A lot was involved in understanding the medium the soldiers were fighting with, and all aircrafts were different. There were so many of them; that were distinctive. The Pakistan Army aircraft were different, the training cadets were different, and achieving accuracy, precision, and an immaculate portrayal of the medium is truly spectacular.”
Tejas also stars Anshul Chauhan, Varun Mitra and Ashish Vidyarthi among others.
