LONDON — Emilia Wickstead has launched a limited collection with Passalacqua, the five-star luxury hotel on Lake Como in Italy.
Inspired by the majestic scenery and flourishing vegetation of Lake Como, the collaboration includes swimsuits and caftans in two prints — a vintage rose print in mustard, cobalt blue and dusty pink and a stripy print in orange hues influenced by the colors of the neighboring Grand Hotel Tremezzo, which is owned by the de Santis family that also own Passalacqua.
True to Wickstead’s style, the collection features signature brand elements including belts, precise lines and thin straps.
The collaborators also released a lookbook for the debut with imagery captured at the luxury villa. The photographs present six Italian women dressed in the swimwear and enjoying their dolce vita lifestyle.
“It is such an honor to collaborate with Valentina de Santis and Passalacqua on this vacation wear collection. Valentina and the de Santis family have the most impeccable taste and have transformed Passalacqua into a paradise where time stands still,” Wickstead said.
Passalacqua dates back to 1787 and over the years has hosted the likes of Napoleon Bonaparte, Bellini and Winston Churchill.
It reopened in 2022 after three years of being restored by the owners. With gardens overlooking the lake, the private villa has 24 suites and offers guests an intimate environment.
“I hope this collection transports the wearer and makes them feel the same sense of vibrancy, ease and sophistication. The designs are timeless and perfectly encapsulate the synergies between Emilia Wickstead and Passalacqua,” Wickstead said.
