Doritos issues urgent ‘do not eat’ warning after company recalls popular crisp flavour

Doritos is recalling Doritos Tangy Cheese because soya has not been declared on the ingredients list.

This means the product is a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy to soya.

According to the Food Standards Agency (FSA), the pack has been misplaced with Doritos Chilli heatwave.

This means Doritos are now recalling their Tangy Cheese 180g flavour from Tesco stores only.

As well as this, the crisp company has also issued a recall for their Tangy Cheese 5x30g multipack from Poundland stores only.

Recall:

Doritos Tangy Cheese

Pack size: 180g

Best before: June 1, 2024

Doritos Tangy Cheese (multipacks)

Pack size: 5x30g

If anyone has purchased the above product and has an allergy to soya, the FSA warns “do not eat it”.

Instead, contact the Customer Care Line on 0800 274 777 to receive a full refund.

Doritos isn’t the only active food recall, with Aldi recalling a pasta bake last week due to undeclared mustard.

The supermarket issued a recall for its Carlos Takeaway Meat Feast Pasta Bake because it contains mustard which is not mentioned on the label.

This means the product is a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy to mustard.

Recall:

Carlos Takeaway Meat Feast Pasta Bake

Pack size: 600g

Use by: February 25, 2024, February 26, 2024, February 27, 2024

Aldi apologised for the inconvenience, urging customers with an allergy to mustard to return it to the store they purchased it from for a full refund.

The supermarket said: “We apologise that this product did not meet our normal high standards and thank you for your cooperation. Customer services can be contacted on 0800 042 0800.”
