Chennai: Over the past two years Tamil actor and producer, Dhanush and Rajini’s daughter Aishwaryaa Rajinikanth have been living separately after announcing it on social media. Recently, a news report by India Today claimed that Dhanush and Aishwaryaa have filed for divorce at Chennai’s family court. However, it is worth noting that Dhanush and Aishwaryaa had earlier parted ways two years ago, announcing their separation. Dhanush and Aishwaryaa Rajinikanth To File Divorce
The news agency claimed that Dhanush and Aishwaryaa have filed a petition under ‘Section 13 B–divorce by mutual consent.’ The couple had reportedly filed a divorce petition at Chennai’s family court. Rajini’s daughter and Dhanush had earlier decided to part ways, for the past two years, the couple have been living separately.
Dhanush and Aishwaryaa Rajinikanth brought an end to their marriage in 2022. The couple took to social media to announce their separation. Dhanush wrote a descriptive note on X that read, “18 years of togetherness as friends, couple, as parents and well wishers to each other. The journey has been of growth, understanding, adjusting and adapting. Today we stand at a place where our paths separate. Aishwaryaa and I have decided to part ways as a couple and take time to understand us as individuals for the better. Please do Respect our decision and give us the needed privacy to deal with this. Om Namashivaaya! Spread love, D (sic).”
While there was no confrontation between the two, Aishwaryaa took to Instagram and wrote, “No caption needed…only your understanding n your love necessary! (sic).” Dhanush and Aishwaryaa also welcomed their two sons Yatra in 2006 and Linga in 2010, and the couple had a traditional south Indian wedding in 2004.

On the work front, Aishwaryaa Rajinikanth is a director, she directed popular films like 3 starring her husband and Shruti Haasan in the lead role. After announcing their separation, Aishwarya went on to direct, Lal Salaam featuring her father and multiple prominent actors in the sports flick.
On the other hand, Dhanush was last seen in the film Captain Miller. Recently, the actor announced soon to do a biopic on maestro Ilaiyaraaja as his next project, which Arun Matheswaran will helm,
