Vivo V30e vs Vivo V30: design

When it comes to design, the Vivo V30e showcases quite a few differences compared to the Vivo V30. The camera island on the back has been changed to a circle, which houses the dual rear cameras alongside the Aura light, which is also circular instead of square. There’s also a vertical gradient back towards the right of the rear panel.

At the front, there’s a curved display which houses the front camera inside a punch-hole cutout. It is comparatively heavier at 188g (for the Velvet red colour) compared to 186g on the Vivo V30. It also comes in a Silk Blue colour with a similar design.

The Vivo V30 packs a similar curved AMOLED display with a punch-hole cutout for the front camera. The rear panel is slightly different, with the camera island in a rectangular shape with two cutouts for the rear cameras and a similar rectangular Aura light below the cameras. The rear panel has a marble-like finish (for the Andaman Blue colour) and acetate finish for the Peacock Green and Classic Black colours.

Vivo V30e vs Vivo V30: display

Both smartphones feature a 6.78-inch Curved AMOLED panel and a refresh rate of 120Hz. The resolution on both devices is, however, slightly different. Vivo calls both a Full HD+ display, but while the V30e has a proper Full HD+ resolution of 2400 x 1080p, the V30 surpasses it at 2800 x 1260p, more popularly known as a 1.5K display.

Takeaways: Both smartphones offer a nearly identical display, but the Vivo V30 packs a better, higher-resolution panel, which improves the visual experience.

Vivo V30e vs Vivo V30: cameras

When it comes to photography, the Vivo V30e offers a 50MP primary lens with an aperture size of f/1.79, Auto-focus and OIS (optical image stabilisation). Alongside the primary lens, you get an 8MP ultra-wide lens f/2.2 and a 50MP front camera with f/2.45 aperture size.

The Vivo V30 also offers a 50MP primary camera with an aperture size of f/1.88, auto-focus and OIS. In addition, it gets a 50MP ultra-wide lens with Auto-focus, an aperture size of f/2.0 and a 50MP front camera with Auto-focus and an aperture size of f/2.0.

Takeaways: The camera setup on both phones is quite impressive, but the Vivo V30 offers a more powerful camera system with a high-resolution 50MP ultra-wide camera. On top of that, all three cameras on the V30 come with auto-focus, which should offer comparatively better results in images. The Vivo V30e’s primary camera has a slightly larger aperture, which could improve low-light photography as it captures more light.

A 5,500mAh battery with 44W fast charging support fuels the Vivo V30e, while a 5,000mAh battery with 80W fast charging support fuels the Vivo V30.
