Bjp: BS Yediyurappa, son pack in Karnataka unit of BJP with their loyalists | India News

BENGALURU: Former Karnataka CM BS Yediyurappa and his son, state BJP chief BY Vijayendra, have consolidated their influence within the revamped state unit, with key positions filled by their loyalists.
The appointments made by Vijayendra on Saturday indicate a dominance of BSY’s camp. Of the 10 vice presidents appointed, six, including Murugesh Nirani, Raju Gouda Nayak, Haratalu Halappa, Byrathi Basavaraj, N Mahesh, and M Rajendra, are aligned with BSY.Furthermore, three of the four general secretaries — P Rajeev, Pritham Gowda, and Nandish Reddy — are also aligned with BSY. The majority of newly appointed state BJP secretaries and morcha presidents are reportedly staunch followers of the former CM.
“This shows BJP high command has completely given in to Yediyurappa and Vijayendra. For the first time, state BJP is seeing such a lopsided representation. Even when Yediyurappa was at the peak of his popularity, he could not get the control like now,” said a BJP MLA.
