NEW DELHI: Bhagalpur is one of the 40 Lok Sabha constituencies in Bihar. Elections in Bihar will take place in 7 phases. Votes would be counted on June 4.
Date of voting
Parliamentary elections in Bhagalpur will take place in Phase 2 on April 26 as announced by the Election Commission of India on March 16.
Candidates
Key candidates who would be contesting from this seat include Ajeet Sharma from INC and Ajay Kumar Mandal from JD(U).The former is a part of Mahagathbandhan alliance while the latter is a part of the BJP-led NDA bloc.
In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, Ajay Kumar Mandal of JD(U) emerged victorious by securing 59.30% of the votes polled. He won against Shailesh Kumar Alias Vulo Mandal of RJD who could manage to secure 32.67% of the votes polled.
Result
The votes would be counted simultaneously for all seats across the country on June 4.
