Amid the anticipation of Bigg Boss OTT Season 3 to return on the online platform, a report by The Indian Express has brought major disappointment among fans. According to the report, the digital version of Bigg Boss, which was launched in 2021, might not return for a third season this year. The report said that Colors TV and Jio Cinema will not bring back the show citing ‘saturation’ reasons.

Recent rumours suggested that Bigg Boss OTT 3 would premiere on May 15 this year, but according to a source, the news is not accurate. The source indicated that the producers are hesitant about launching Bigg Boss OTT this year due to concerns about audience saturation. To mitigate over-exposure, they may opt to skip the show entirely this year.
Although discussions are ongoing, Banijay Asia, Colors TV, and Jio Cinema have yet to confirm any details. Contenders such as Sheezan Khan, Arhaan Behll, Shehzada Dhami, Pratiksha Honmukhe, Dalljiet Kaur, Maxtern, Sriram Chandra, and Dhanashree Verma were being speculated about for the third season.
Bigg Boss OTT Previous Seasons
Bigg Boss OTT Season 1 premiered on August 8, 2021. The OTT reality show was available on Voot for the audience to enjoy. The first season of the show was hosted by Karan Johar, and TV fame Divya Agarwal turned out to be the winner. On the other hand, Bigg Boss OTT Season 2 was hosted by Salman Khan and premiered on June 17, 2023. Famous faces such as Elvish Yadav, Manisha Rani, and others were part of the show. Later, the grand finale of Bigg Boss OTT 3 took place on August 14, 2023, and YouTuber Elvish Yadav emerged as the winner, whereas Abhishek Malhan secured the runner-up spot.
Meanwhile, Bigg Boss Season 17, which premiered on Colours TV, came to an end in January this year. Comedian Munawar Faruqui emerged as the winner, whereas Abhishek Kumar became the first runner-up, and Mannara Chopra became the second runner-up of the show.
