Earlier this afternoon, filmmaker Anurag Kashyap took to his IG handle to share that he will now start charging people for work meetings, which otherwise take up a lot of his time and do not bore much fruit. He wrote, “I wasted a lot of time trying to help newcomers and mostly ended up with mediocre shit. So Now onwards I don’t want to waste my time with meeting random people who think they’re creative geniuses.” Kashyap’s solution? Implementing a fee structure for meetings.”If someone wants to meet me for 10-15 minutes I will charge 1 lac, for half an hour 2 lacs and for 1 hour 5 lacs. That’s the rate.”

He captioned the past as, “Don’t text or dm or call me. Pay and you will get time. I am not a charity and I am tired of people looking for shortcuts.”On the other hand, after his stints in Tamil, in Nayanthara-starrer Imaikkaa Nodigal and Vijay’s Leo, Anurag Kashyap will be making his Malayalam debut in Ashiq Abu’s Rifle Club. The film‘s first schedule began at Mundakkayam in Kottayam.

The project will also have a cast filled with prominent names, including Dileesh Pothan, Vishnu Agasthya, Vani Viswanath, Vijayaraghavan, Vincy Aloshious, Ramzan Muhammed, Surabhi Lakshmi, and Unnimaya Prasad.
Buzz is that Anurag will portray a negative role. Confirming the news about his Malayalam debut, the director posted the announcement video on his social media page and wrote, “Announcing my firstMalayalam film as an actor with Ashiq Abu. Looking forward to be part of the great moment of Malayalam cinema (sic).”

During the International Film Festival of Kerala (IFFK), in December, Anurag, who was in attendance for the screening of his film Kennedy, had hinted at his Malayalam debut. The film, which is targeting an Onam release, will see Ashiq Abu donning the hat of cinematographer again.
