The second installation of Allu Arjun’s magnum opus is currently at the peak of its hype. Allu Arjun’s Pushpa 2: Grabs Recording Breaking Deal In North Indian Belt
A report by Pinkvilla claimed that Allu Arjun’s second installation of Pushpa has already garnered a record-breaking deal in North India from Anil Thadani. Reports indicate that film distributor Anil Thadani secured the North Indian theatrical rights for the upcoming movie Pushpa 2 in a record-breaking pre-release deal worth a whopping Rs 200 crore. The news agency further claimed, “Pushpa 2 is the most awaited Indian Film of the year and the records have come down crashing left – right – center as far as the pre-release business is concerned. Anil Thadani has paid Rs 200 crore (on an advance basis) to acquire the theatrical rights of this action-packed entertainer directed by Sukumar (sic).”
This theatrical deal shatters North India’s records, surpassing even the most expensive pre-pandemic films, which typically sold rights for around 140 to 160 crore rupees. The report expressed, “The theatrical deal of Pushpa 2 is unprecedented going a notch higher than the previous records and has got the entire trade talking. The makers have scored new highs in the pre-release deal and the eyes are now on Pushpa 2 to set the box office on fire upon its release on August 15 (sic).”
This advance pertains solely to the theatrical rights of North India. In comparison to a Bollywood film, this would translate to Rs 250 crore, considering the additional Rs 50 crore typically generated from South Indian territories handled by separate South Indian distributors. However, for Pushpa, these southern rights will be managed by South Indian distributors.
