Air fryer omelette recipe is a ‘total breeze’ to make

One of the most delicate of egg dishes to make, omelettes are known for their soft and fluffy texture but if cooked wrong can be hard and crispy instead.

But now an easy way to make sure your omelettes are perfect every time is all thanks to a simple air fryer method – and there’s no flipping needed either.

Thanks to a foodie who shared the easy recipe online, anyone can enjoy a perfectly cooked omelette in minutes.

Melanie Mendelson, also known as Melanie Cooks shared the recipe on her food blog and called it a “breeze to make”.

She claimed: “The best part is, you don’t even need to flip an omelette when you cook it in the air fryer!”

The foodie and home-cook regularly shares her easy to follow recipes, and this one couldn’t be easier. Melanie’s recipe is for a cheese omelette but you can include all of your favourite ingredients.

While the ingredients are very few, there is one essential piece of equipment required – a pan small enough to fit in your air fryer.

It’s also worth using some cooking spray to stop the omelette from sticking to the pan and burning while it cooks. Alternatively, you can brush the pan with a few drops of oil.

Method

Place the pan inside the air fryer and then prepare the omelette ingredients.

Crack the eggs into a mixing bowl and add the milk. While stirring, add the cheese and stir until well combined.

Pour into the pan inside the air fryer and make sure the mixture evenly covers the pan. Cook for six minutes at 190C.

Once cooked, remove the pan from the air fryer and allow to cool for a few minutes. Once cool, add the seasoning and garnishes.

It’s important to make sure it’s cool first to avoid drying the omelette out to keep it fluffy and enjoy!
