Add one ingredient to pizza dough to make it much healthier

Are you a pizza lover who’s trying to shed some pounds? Now you can still enjoy your favourite dish while maintaining a healthy diet.

TikTok user @thezachrocheleau has revealed a unique recipe that will leave you both intrigued and delighted. This came after he was asked to try the viral cottage cheese flatbread, which he rated a mere “2/10”.

His “homemade pizza” packs a whopping 56g of protein and contains just 640 calories perfect for a cosy date night at home, a dinner party with friends, or a solo movie night on the sofa.

To whip up this delicious pizza, you’ll need to blend 150g 2% cottage cheese (yes, you heard it right!) and 75g egg white until smooth.

Next, take a large bowl and combine 70g self-raising flour, 12g coconut flour, 5g nutritional yeast, and garlic powder – don’t be shy with the latter. Mix well to prevent clumping.

Add the blended cottage cheese and egg mixture to the dry ingredients and stir until you have a wet dough.

Spread the dough onto a piece of parchment paper on a baking tray, working from the centre outwards to create a pizza crust that’s “at least 12 inches”.

Finally, bake in an oven preheated to 220 degrees for 8-10 minutes, or until golden brown.

Next, gently remove the base from the parchment paper and spread 90g of pizza sauce over it. Sprinkle 56g of part-skim mozzarella, mist the crust with olive oil spray, dust with garlic powder, and return it to the oven until the toppings are “golden”.
