Mumbai: Bollywood actress Adah Sharma gained attention after appearing in the controversial film ‘The Kerala Story’ directed by Sudipto Sen. Adah made it to the headlines when an X/Twitter user called the actress a ‘fraud’ while she went on to attend the Iftar party which was organised by politician Baba Siddiqui during the holy month of Ramadan in Mumbai. While an X/ Twitter user pointed out that Adah Sharma was a ‘fraud’, the Bastar story actress replied solidly that sparked controversy on social media. The X/ Twitter user wrote, “What a fraud she is!!! On odd days Muslims are Villians for these people and you make hate movies against them!!! On even days Muslims are great for these people because you get invited for a Biryani!!! (sic).” To this, The Kerala Story actress replied, “On odd and even days dear sir terrorists are villains. Not Muslims (sic).”

Earlier the actress once again got into a tussle with a fan. He expressed, “Ma’am please Muslims ke against waale propaganda film mat banaao. Mai apka bhot bada fan thaa (Ma’am please don’t make propaganda films against Muslims. I was a big fan of yours)” To this Adah replied, “Terrorist ke against film banaya. I’m sure aap bhi unke against ho (I made a film against terrorists. Sir, I’m sure you are also against them) (sic).”

This was not the first time that Adah Sharma was facing criticism on social media. On multiple occasions, the actress has dealt with the fans on a personal note. After the release of Kerala Story, many claimed that the film was made with a propaganda motive suggesting wrong figures in the film. However, once the court intervened regarding the number issue, it was later removed from the film.

Recently Adah Sharma starred in Bastar: The Naxal Story which is based on true events. The film is written by Amarnath Jha and is directed by Sudipto Sen. Apart from Adah Sharma, the film also stars Raima Sen, Shilpa Shukla, and Yashpal Sharma in the lead roles of the film.
